Show / Hide Hidden Folders and Files on MAC OSx

Show All Files

Open Terminal, located at /Applications/Utilities/.

Enter the following into your terminal one line at a time.

  1. defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
  2. killall Finder

 

Hide All files

Open Terminal, located at /Applications/Utilities/.

Enter the following into your terminal one line at a time.

  1. defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE 
  2. killall Finder
