If your having problem in text highlighting on Adobe Illustrator, you might have accidentally turn off highlighting. You can turn on highlighting features by pressing Ctrl+H. Most Photoshop users use Ctrl+H to hide all guides, but this doesn’t work on Illustrator CS5. Illustrator refers to this as Edges. You can toggle to hide and show edges by pressing Ctrl+H or by going under view menu and selecting hide edges.
